Hello, and welcome to my website!

I've been obsessed with technology ever since I was a child, disassembling remote controls and driving my parents crazy.   That curiosity began to grow when I began reading about how the video games that I played were actually made, which helped my desire to learn math and science. This came in handy when earning my engineering undergraduate (Brown) and masters (Case Western) degrees!

One of the most important skills picked up was establishing an methodical process to problem solving.  This is a transferable skill that is valued in many different fields.  I've performed well in multiple fields, starting with information technology consulting work with Wipro Technologies.  This role led to a junior analyst role with Accenture, where I worked with larger, more demanding clients. Most recently, I worked as a senior database analyst for Shire Pharmaceuticals, responsible for managing several proprietary database platforms to support competitive analysis to support business decisions.

My science blog at ShareefJackson.com has the tagline "Science Looks Good", and attempts to show how cool science is to the average person. I've been able to attend several NASA events, including the the final shuttle launch of the space program. I've also been able to attend local Philly science events and the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show.
